Toby Baxendale: Is There Anything Unique About the Austrian School?

Toby Baxendale is an entrepreneur and investor, economist, former magistrate, Ironman triathlete (he has twice raced in the World Championships for the 70.3 mile distance), philanthropist and family man. He is co-founder of the Cobden Centre, a classical-liberal think tank that aims to promote social progress through honest money, free trade, and peace. He is a proponent of the Austrian school of economics and sponsored the publication of Prices and Production and Other Works, a volume containing F. A. Hayek's most important works on economic theory.
He founded and built Direct Seafoods / Seafood Holdings, the UK’s largest fresh fish processor and supplier to the UK’s food service sector, and sold it at the end of 2010 to a large global conglomerate. He now invests in supporting other entrepreneurs building their businesses and cultivating talent.
